About us

Our culture and how we work

How we work depends on who you are and what you need. We counteract a complicated world with clarity. We get you where you need to be at a pace you set. Minimum fuss. Maximum impact. Zero waffle.

You want exceptional service. We build, equip and continuously strengthen our teams with this in mind. Our investment in the best talent and technology keeps us, and you, ahead of the curve.

We have spent our lives preparing to listen to you, to understand what you are looking for – whether its seizing an opportunity, solving immediate problems, planning for the future, simplifying your life or strengthening your business – and to get you where you need to be at the pace you need.

By making ‘how we do it’ as important as ‘what we do’ Cripps Pemberton Greenish has built a unique culture and capability designed around our clients’ needs.   Four characteristics lie at the heart of what we do, and are key elements that drive our culture;

Care – Taking care in everything we do to achieve the best experience. Care for our people, care for our work, our clients and the world around us. We take a human interest in our clients, not just a legal one. We recognise that it is a privilege that they are trusting us to care for important aspects of their lives. We want to make a positive difference to their lives, as well as in our local community.  Its important to us that people feel valued, taken care of and that we take pride in our work

Imagine – Empowering each and every one of us to create, innovate and explore beyond the here and now. Promoting an environment where trying new things and thinking outside of the box is celebrated, where failing smart and learning fast is a mantra for success. We encourage people to ask questions, be curious, imagine walking in the shoes of our clients and how we can make life easier for them

Enjoy – People are at the heart of our business: enjoying the journey matters. Even if our clients are going through a stressful time, their experience of working with us should be enjoyable.  That’s because we’re human before we are lawyers – we are empathetic, reliable, trustworthy and empower our people to make their own choices

Achieve – Taking care in what we do, having the freedom to imagine, and enjoying our time doing it,  helps to fulfil our personal ambitions and achieve more for our clients.

Corporate and social responsibility

Every one of us, no matter what their level of seniority, acts in an ethical manner. We foster a positive working environment and constantly seek new ways to improve our services.

A people-friendly business, we take a responsible role in our communities.

We typically work with a different charity partner each year and over our last financial year we supported CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, raising over £56,000. In a response to the coronavirus pandemic, we are currently following a ‘Charity of the Month’ initiative in order to support a number of different causes that have been especially impacted this year.

We also take direct action in the community. Every member of staff is able to spend a day each year volunteering for a charitable project. This might involve supporting community ‘action days’ or helping at a local school reading scheme.

Every effort is made to minimise our impact on the environment.

Because sustainability is at the heart of care for our world, it is built into our corporate social policy. We have taken positive action to reduce our carbon footprint by reducing energy consumption and waste. As members of the Legal Senior Alliance, a group of professionals working collaboratively to help the environment, we take environmental issues seriously, publish our carbon footprint statistics and encourage others to do the same.

Equality, diversity & inclusion

Diversity, equality and inclusion are more than simply words. Every person is, by definition, unique; we recognise people’s individual needs and do everything in our power to fulfil their aspirations.

We have active programmes around encouraging and nurturing diversity and inclusion, and have had a longstanding track record on ensuring equality.

We treat everyone we work alongside with dignity and respect and our policies on harassment, maternity and paternity leave, help uphold the importance of equality and inclusion in our culture.

The diversity of our team makes us more capable, responsive and, above all, human. We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer – our diversity enables us to better serve our clients and to create better solutions for them.

We are fully committed to fostering a truly diverse business that reflects the community and society we inhabit. To underline this commitment, we have signed the Law Society’s Charter on Diversity, which promotes diversity and equality across the entire legal profession.
