Cripps Pemberton Greenish operates from two offices in Tunbridge Wells and London. With over 450 people at the firm, we are organised internally into practice, sector, client and support teams to ensure we provide both the technical excellence our clients demand, and the support and development focus which helps our people achieve their optimum potential.  We encourage and support agile working, allowing our people to work effectively outside of our offices through the use of our secure cloud-based IT systems.

The firm provides a full range of legal advice for both businesses and individuals – please see our service pages for more detail. Our practices are ranked #1 25 times in the latest editions of the leading legal directories of Chambers UK, Chambers High Net Worth and the UK Legal 500.  We are nationally recognised for our Real estate, Family and Private Wealth expertise and have won awards in areas as diverse as leasehold enfranchisement, GDPR, and mergers & acquisitions.

For the financial year 2019/20 the firm’s turnover was £39.1 million. Approximately 50% of the firm’s revenues come from the firm’s Real Estate division, with the remainder split between Private Client and Corporate.

Originally founded in 1852, the firm merged with Kent-based Vertex Law in 2013 and with London-based Pemberton Greenish in 2018.

Awards and accreditations

Corporate and social responsibility

Every one of us, no matter what their level of seniority, acts in an ethical manner. We foster a positive working environment and constantly seek new ways to improve our services.

A people-friendly business, we take a responsible role in our communities.

 We typically work with a different charity partner each year and over our last financial year we supported CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, raising over £56,000. In a response to the coronavirus pandemic, we are currently following a ‘Charity of the Month’ initiative in order to support a number of different causes that have been especially impacted this year.

We also take direct action in the community. Every member of staff is able to spend a day each year volunteering for a charitable project. This might involve supporting community ‘action days’ or helping at a local school reading scheme.

Every effort is made to minimise our impact on the environment.

Because sustainability is at the heart of care for our world, it is built into our corporate social policy. We have taken positive action to reduce our carbon footprint by reducing energy consumption and waste. As members of the Legal Senior Alliance, a group of professionals working collaboratively to help the environment, we take environmental issues seriously, publish our carbon footprint statistics and encourage others to do the same.
