AdEPT Technology Group plc acquires Datrix Limited
Cripps Pemberton Greenish has advised longstanding client AdEPT Technology Group plc on its strategic acquisition of Datrix Limited.
AdEPT is one of the UK’s leading independent providers of managed services for IT, unified communications, connectivity and voice solutions. It provides services to thousands of customers across the UK, through strategic suppliers such as Openreach, BT Wholesale, Virgin Media, Avaya, Microsoft, Dell and Apple.
Headquartered in London, Datrix is an award-winning supplier of cloud-based networking, communications and cyber security solutions, with a focus on serving public sector clients.
The acquisition, which has been funded through a new bank facility, is strategically important for AdEPT and in line with its aims to grow both organically and by acquisition, to consolidate a fragmented market and bring enhanced capability to customers.
Cripps Pemberton Greenish advised on the acquisition of Datrix as well as the extension of the enabling credit facility. The project team, which included John Kirkwood, Motunrayo Alamu- Folorunso and Jade Hallam, was led by Nigel Stanford.
Phil Race, Chief Executive of AdEPT, commented “This acquisition is a game-changer for AdEPT, taking us to the forefront of next generation networking delivery. The AdEPT Group already has a strong presence in the networking and cyber security arena and the acquisition of Datrix will allow us to build significantly on those capabilities, adding scale and extending both our expertise and our solution breadth.
It has been a pleasure working with the Nigel and the team at Cripps, it makes a huge difference that they know our business and have taken time to understand AdEPT. Because of this we get to the subjects needing attention rapidly, and without fuss. The pragmatic and professional manner of Cripps has really helped make this important transaction a success.”
