Law firm Cripps has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Middleton as a partner in its corporate team.

A specialist tax lawyer, Elizabeth has extensive experience advising a broad range of UK and international businesses.  With a particular focus on the issues affecting SMEs and owner managed businesses, Elizabeth assists with corporate transactions, restructuring projects, share schemes and employment tax issues.

James Beatton, head of the corporate division at Cripps, commented: “As we continue to grow our business it is important that we demonstrate to our clients and prospective clients that we are able to provide the services they expect from us under one roof. Until now we have outsourced our tax law work but now is the right time for us to build our own team and we are very excited to have Elizabeth on board to help us do this.”

Formally a partner at Boodle Hatfield, Elizabeth joins from NGM Tax Law where she has been a consultant for the last six years.

Commenting on her appointment, Elizabeth said: “Cripps has a strong reputation in the South East for its corporate work and I am looking forward to working with the team, its client and referrers to continue to build its reputation and enhance its capabilities in this area.”
