Cripps announces 17 promotions

Cripps has announced 17 promotions across a range of its legal and business services teams, effective from 1 May 2016, the same date Clare Hyland takes up her new role as senior partner.

The appointments include three new partners, four senior promotions in the business services divisions, four new managing associates and six people being promoted to associates.

Managing partner Gavin Tyler said: ”The high number of promotions this year not only reflects our recent growth but also the commitment of these individuals to deliver exceptional client service.”

The new partners, two of whom joined the firm as trainees, are Erica Dennett (employment), Jessica Jamieson (private client – advisory) and Kathryn Rogers (commercial).

In the business services team, Christina Blacklaws is promoted to chief operating officer, Adrian Jennings to chief financial officer, Mike Burton to director of information technology and Ruth Napier to director of business development and marketing.

Four of the firm’s senior associates have been appointed as managing associates. They are Craig Bowers and Julie Hughes (corporate), Nicola Paffard (investment) and Simon Schipper (real estate development).

Further promotions to associate level include Tom Bourne (commercial dispute resolution), Rob Boyett, (client services), Cathy Collins (residential property), Oliver Copp (corporate real estate), Clare Greig (property dispute resolution) and Rachel Smith (business development and marketing).
