Cripps announces record promotions

Law firm Cripps has announced a record 19 promotions across its legal and business services teams. Effective from 1 May 2017, these include three new partner-level appointments, two promotions to legal director, ten new managing associates and four new senior associates.


Managing partner Gavin Tyler said: “The high number of promotions this year not only reflects the firm’s continuing growth but also the commitment of the individuals to develop their careers at Cripps  and deliver exceptional client service.”


The new partners are Julie Hughes (corporate) and James Lee (real estate). Lyn Stronghill has also been promoted to head of finance, which is equivalent to partner status.


Liz Barton (corporate) and Glenn Godfrey (real estate) have been promoted to legal director, a newly-created position as part of the firm’s innovative legal career pathways programme.


Ten associates from a variety of service areas have been promoted to managing associate. These are: Helen Garner and Katie Haylock (corporate), Beth Gascoyne (real estate – planning), Stephen Horscroft (private client – advisory), Richard Housley and Rebecca Nash (property dispute resolution), Gemma Mintram (corporate – healthcare), Natalie Mulholland (real estate – investment), Darren Philpot (real estate – residential) and Claire Tollefson (private client – family).


In addition, James Blyth (property dispute resolution), Fiona Chamberlain (paralegal team), Erin Gilman (corporate) and Helen Welsh (real estate – investment) have been appointed as senior associates.
