Cripps has been shortlisted in four categories in the South East Deal Makers Awards 2017.

The awards celebrate the achievements of the region’s top mergers and acquisitions professionals, and recognise the work of corporate finance professionals, banks and individuals, as well as highlighting some of largest and most notable transactions of the past 12 months.

Cripps has been shortlisted for:

  • Corporate Law Firm of the Year
  • Corporate Lawyer of the Year: Nigel Stanford
  • Private Equity/Venture Capital Deal of the Year. One of a number of named advisers acting on an investment in Ferrabyrne Ltd by YFM Equity Partners
  • Deal of the Year (above £10m). Paydens (one of several named advisers on the deal).

An independent judging panel determined the shortlists for the Deal of the Year categories, while more than 45 firms, banks, and private equity houses based in the South East voted for the finalists in the remaining awards.

The winners will be announced on 2 February at a ceremony in Gatwick.

James Beatton, head of the corporate group commented: “2016 proved to be another busy year for us despite the uncertainty brought by Brexit. We completed more deals, averaging higher values, than ever before and being shortlisted for so many deal maker awards is testament to the quality of work undertaken by the team.”
