Cripps Pemberton Greenish advises global serviced apartment agent on strategic acquisition
Cripps Pemberton Greenish’s Corporate Team has advised long standing client Habicus Group, the parent company of the global serviced apartment agent SilverDoor, on the acquisition of the TAS Global group, which includes The Apartment Service brand.
This acquisition brings together two of the world’s largest, most recognised and respected brands in the serviced apartment agency sector. With over 60 years’ experience in this sector, particularly within corporate accommodation, both groups have worked with some of the largest corporate clients across all market sectors.
During the pandemic, the Habicus Group has continued to increase its market share, and this acquisition provides the group with further opportunity to continue to grow in a post-pandemic world. This latest acquisition will grow the Habicus Group to now incorporate teams in London, Lancaster, Frankfurt, Madrid, Singapore, Denver, Washington, DC and Hyderabad.
The Cripps team, which included Julie Hughes, Laura Wilson, Helen Garner, Angela Alvey, Baba Oguntoye (all Corporate), Phil Bilney (Commercial) and Lisa Steer (Commercial Real Estate) advised on all legal aspects of the transaction. Dow Schofield Watts provided corporate finance advice.
Commenting on the legal support provided, Stuart Winstone (CEO, Habicus Group) said “The Cripps team was fantastic throughout the acquisition process; we really couldn’t have done it without them. Their professionalism, knowledge, experience, patience and good humour were highly appreciated and I hope we will have the opportunity to work together again in the future”.
