Cripps Pemberton Greenish’s corporate team has advised the shareholders of E-Cloth Limited on the sale of the company to Camano Capital.

Lamberhurst based E-Cloth is a developer and marketer of environmentally conscious microfibre cleaning products focused on sustainable and non-chemical cleaning applications.

Camano Capital is a US private equity firm that seeks to invest in differentiated, branded consumer companies that appeal to everyday consumers.

The Cripps team led by Salim Somjee and Helen Garner advised on all legal aspects of the transaction, working alongside Camano Capital’s US advisers. They were supported by Lauren Romo (Transaction services team), Lisa Steer (Real estate), Camilla Beamish (Employment) and Phil Bilney (Commercial).

Richard Martin, Managing Director of E-Cloth commented: “I found the whole Cripps team extremely responsive and flexible to work with. They guided us very professionally through what turned out to be quite a complex transaction, involving a number of parties, both in UK and USA. Thanks to their calm and measured approach, we all managed to retain our sanity and our sense of humour through the protracted negotiations and achieve an excellent result in the end. I think it’s fair to say we enjoyed a collective sigh of relief on completion!”
