Cripps Pemberton Greenish advises on the sale of Little Garden Day Nurseries
Cripps Pemberton Greenish has advised on the sale of Little Garden Day Nurseries, a group of four London based nurseries.
Over the last 30 years, the group has been renowned for providing high quality childcare to a range of age groups accommodated for across the four settings, which are all Ofsted rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’.
Previous owners, Anne de Zoysa and Lady Sue Woodford-Hollick OBE founded the company 30 years ago in order to provide much needed, high-quality childcare for working women. Sue Woodford-Hollick has established a well-known reputation as a journalist, businesswoman and campaigner in a career spanning 40 years, and brought her expertise together with Anne de Zoysa to build the business into the thriving group it has become, ultimately deciding to sell the business on its 30th anniversary as they both look to retire from the industry.
Corporate Partner Julie Hughes, a specialist in nursery sales, led the Cripps Pemberton Greenish team advising Sue Woodford-Hollick and Anne de Zoysa. Julie helped prepare the business for sale and advised on all the legal aspects of the transaction. Partner Elizabeth Middleton provided tax and EMI scheme advice.
Sue Woodford-Hollick commented: “Julie, Elizabeth and the team at Cripps Pemberton Greenish have been brilliant. We particularly appreciated their total professionalism and calming influence!”
