Cripps Pemberton Greenish advises on the sale of Willow Pumps
Cripps Pemberton Greenish has advised the owners of Aylesford based Willow Pumps on the sale of the business to Franchise Brands plc.
Founded in 1992, Willow Pumps is a leading water pump supply, installation and servicing business with both below-ground (foul water) and above-ground (fresh water) capability. The successful family-owned company achieved a revenue of £12.4 million in 2018.
AIM-listed Franchise Brands plc is an international multi-brand franchisor, with a combined network of over 450 franchisees in 12 countries. The Group has four principal brands; Metro Rod, ChipsAway, Ovenclean and Barking Mad, all of which have a long history and are leaders in their respective markets. The acquisition of Willow Pumps will complement and expand Metro Rod’s drainage and plumbing businesses.
Willow Pumps founder and Managing Director Ian Lawrence, will continue to manage the business and becomes part of Franchise Brands’ senior management team.
Katie Haylock and Nigel Stanford led the transaction assisted by Kevin Finlayson. Elizabeth Middleton and Lisa Steer assisted with the tax and property aspects respectively. The team advised Willow Pumps owners Ian and Sue Lawrence on all legal aspects of the transaction.
