Over its last financial year, Cripps Pemberton Greenish has raised over £56,000 for CLIC Sargent; the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people.

Staff from across the firm took part in a variety of fundraising events to raise the incredible amount.  Fundraising activities included a summer fete, a bake-off, an annual quiz and a table tennis tournament.  One event, branded ‘Le Tour’, saw a team of fourteen staff cycle an impressive 375km from London to Paris – raising nearly £17,000 in sponsorship for their efforts!

CLIC Sargent provides financial and emotional support to families across the UK who have a child or young adult with a cancer diagnosis.  The partnership focused on raising funds to refurbish Paul’s House, one of ten of the charity’s Home from Home houses.  These Homes from Home offer children and their families a clean, safe and homely environment in which to stay whilst cancer treatment is ongoing. The homes are strategically located close to hospitals and families that have stayed at the properties have said that the support that this provided was invaluable to them. Travelling long distances with a seriously ill child creates a financial and physical burden during what is already an upsetting and stressful time.

Over £28,000 was raised through fundraising which was kindly matched by the firm’s partners, bringing the total raised to a staggering £56,910.

Alex Drury, Fundraising Engagement Manager at CLIC Sargent, said: “A big thank you to Cripps Pemberton Greenish for raising so much over the last twelve months.  Thank you also to the firm’s charity committee for all of the hard work they have put in organising these events.  The amount raised is truly amazing and will make a huge difference in helping the families we work with”.

Managing Associate Rebecca Hughes, who heads up the charity committee commented: “We are thrilled to have raised such a significant sum for CLIC Sargent this year.  Our charity committee, which comprises volunteers from across the firm, has done a fantastic job planning and running a calendar of successful and engaging fundraising activities and we are so proud of our people who, thanks to their giving and generous nature have helped us raise these vital funds for such a worthwhile cause”.
