Cripps ranked as Kent’s best law firm
Cripps, once again, has been ranked as Kent’s leading law firm by the Kent Legal Sector Review.
The annual review, compiled by Kent Messenger, rates the performance of the county’s law firms across all major services and ranks them based on scores from Chambers and the Legal 500 – the two most authoritative independent guides to the legal profession.
In a comparison of Kent’s best-performing law firms overall Cripps retains top spot, scoring almost double the points of its nearest competitor. The commentary states ‘it’s now a new year tradition – each year, we pronounce Cripps as Kent’s best law firm’. The review also acknowledges that a number of Kent firms are recognised nationally for specific legal services. When these statistics are taken into account, Cripps is again top of the table.
Alongside its overall rankings, Cripps ranks top for both corporate and commercial, and real estate and public sector. Its range of legal specialisms is noted along with its strong performance in these areas. In dispute resolution, where the firm also ranks top, Cripps is noted for being the only Kent firm to achieve a directory rank for advising defendants on professional negligence cases.
In private client and charities, Cripps is listed in second place, an impressive achievement considering Cripps only operates in half of the scoring areas.
Gavin Tyler, managing partner, commented: “We are delighted that the Kent Legal Review continues to rank us as the county’s best-performing law firm. As highlighted in the review, we work across a wide range of legal specialisms and have an excellent reputation both in the region and nationally. Our recent merger with is evidence of our desire to continuously drive the firm forward, enhance our expertise yet further, and enables us to deliver a deeper and even more personal service to our clients.”
Cripps completed its merger with Pemberton Greenish on 1 December 2018.
