The Kent Legal Sector Review 2018 has once again rated Cripps as the county’s top-performing law firm.

The annual review, compiled by Kent Messenger, rates the performance of Kent law firms across all major services and ranks them based on scorings from Chambers and the Legal 500 – two of the legal professions most authoritative guides.

When comparing Kent’s best-performing law firms overall, Cripps  has retained its top spot, scoring a third more than its nearest competitor.  As well as viewing regionally, the review also acknowledges those firms that are highly regarded nationally.  When these statistics are taken into account, Cripps again ranks in first place.

Alongside these rankings, the firm retains first place for corporate and commercial, with its ‘sheer breadth of business law expertise’ noted.  Reference is also made to Cripps’ involvement in the sale of the Kent Messenger Group to Iliffe Media in 2017.

The firm is also positioned in first place for dispute resolution, and real estate and public sector.  The commentary highlights Cripps’  expertise in planning law, a sector in which only one other Kent firm currently ranks.

In private client and charities, the firm is listed in second place, an impressive achievement considering Cripps does not operate in half of the scoring areas.

Managing partner, Gavin Tyler commented: “We are once again delighted with the results of the Kent Legal Review.  From a scoring perspective it is particularly pleasing to see that we are continuing to improve on these results year-on-year in all of the areas we are ranked in.  These results continue to re-enforce our reputation as a leading firm in the region, and on a national scale.”
