Leading corporate lawyer Victoria Symons has joined Cripps as a partner, bringing with her expertise in a wide range of on and off shore corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, funds, banking and joint ventures.

James Beatton, head of the corporate group said: “Victoria is a great addition to the team bringing particular strength to our family business and finance capabilities. Her appointment will add to our growing reputation for corporate and commercial work.”

She was previously a partner at Mayfair-based Brecher, where she advised UK and international clients on domestic and cross-border issues.

Victoria, who lives in Hawkhurst with her husband and daughter and is a keen cook, commented: “Cripps is regarded as one of the best law firms outside London and I am looking forward to working with the team to help continue build its reputation and supporting the firm in its strategic growth ambitions.”

As one of the largest corporate teams in the South East, Cripps  advises a broad range of clients, from entrepreneurs and family businesses to listed and international companies. Its corporate team is consistently ranked in the top band of regional law firms in both Legal 500 and Chambers, with a large proportion of individuals being listed as ‘leading lawyers’.

The firm’s Tunbridge Wells offices will shortly move into new, purpose built premises, the largest office building to have been built in the town for more than 25 years. With over 350 staff it is one of the town’s largest employers.
