Promotions at Cripps

As part of its continuing growth strategy and its key objective to develop and promote talent internally, law firm Cripps has announced 19 promotions across its legal and business services teams. 


In the corporate team, Joanna Ford has been promoted to partner.  A commercial disputes specialist, Joanna joined the firm in 2010 from one of the large international firms in the City and advises both corporate clients and individuals.


Real estate expert, Ben Johnston, who joined the firm as a trainee in 2004, has been promoted to legal director.  Advising on a wide variety of commercial property work, Ben acts for both landlords and tenants. 


In the business services team, operations director, Jo Owen has been promoted to chief information officer and director of ICT, Mike Burton to chief technical officer. 


Managing partner Gavin Tyler commented: “At Cripps, our staff are at the heart of enabling us to deliver outstanding service so we are delighted to recognise so many of them in this way.  We are committed to providing career pathways across both our legal and business services teams, and are delighted that so many people are continuing to progress their careers at Cripps.”  


In addition, five senior associates from a variety of service areas have been promoted to managing associate.  These are: Mark Cheesman (facilities), Rebecca Hughes (residential), Richard Mencner (private client), Michelle Parr (real estate) and Rachel Smith (business development and marketing).


Further promotions to senior associate are Bruno Edenogie (compliance), Helen Fisher (family), Elliot Fry (commercial), Phil Garland (central services), Leslie Hill-Smith (residential), Rachel Holdaway (real estate), Stacey Kirwan (real estate), Adam Osieke (property disputes), Dino Sikkel (specialist disputes) and Laura Wilson (corporate).
