The final Plog of 2017…

For the final Plog of 2017 we thought we’d try something a little different, and asked the team for their favourite Christmas memories.

It seems the worst Christmas presents received were particularly memorable, as follows:

Marisa – a book about the introduction of penicillin when 12 from an elderly uncle, a mattress (husband paid for his half, her half was a Christmas present!)

Fed – a slanket with arms and pockets for feet in a cream and beige check

Alex – a chromed calculator from his nan

Emily – a scarf for a man, a book I had already read (from a relative) and a handheld vac (from my husband!)

Amy – a ceramic guinea pig: two feet tall!

Oliver said he has always been grateful for any present at Christmas but if he had to pick one, his least favourite was probably a packet of fairly ordinary handkerchiefs.

Team wide, we discovered a shared love of “A Muppet Christmas Carol” (the unanimous favourite line being “Light the lamp not the rat, light the lamp not the rat!” (Sarah Ferguson and Natalie Gibbs in particular) although some also responded with Die Hard.

We also shared some highlights from 2017.

Nic’s was taking part in the Royal British Legion Major Series South mud run back in March. It was her first ever running event and what a way to start! Although she only did the 5k, she’s definitely got the running bug and now goes for a run two or three times a week, although she tries to stay a bit cleaner than this.

Oliver’s was finally completing the Waitrose lease at Winchmore Hill and being part of such an awesome Real Estate team.

On that happy note, all the best for the festive season and 2018 from the Real Estate team.
