Cripps Pemberton Greenish has advised The Pickled Egg Pub Company on the acquisition of The Five Bells Inn at Brabourne, The Radnor Arms in Folkestone and The Woolpack Inn at Warehorne, pubs previously run by Ramblinns.

Mark Sargeant and Josh De Haan (owners of the Pickled Egg Pub Company) currently run a mix of successful bars and restaurants including Rocksalt in Folkestone. Mr Sargeant, a Michelin-starred chef, said: “Josh and I have been massive fans of John and Alison’s Ramblinns and when the opportunity arose to buy three of the four we jumped at the chance. We can’t wait to continue their great work at these fantastic pubs and we aim to only enhance their excellent reputations.”

All three pubs will continue to trade as normal and Ramblinns will retain and continue to operate the Globe Inn, Marsh.

Commenting on the legal work carried out by Katie Haylock, Pete Kenyon, Elizabeth Middleton and the team at Cripps Pemberton Greenish, Josh de Haan, Director of The Pickled Egg Pub Company, said “Katie and the team were incredibly easy and efficient to deal with. They liaised with both my in-house team and my external tax accountants. The whole process went very smoothly and I would highly recommend them.”
