Coronavirus / COVID-19 update
The worldwide spread of coronavirus has increasingly become the main concern of nations and people globally. Whilst the situation and government advice is changing daily and causing many challenges, our top priority remains the safety and well-being of our people and our clients. We wanted to update you on the steps we are taking to minimise the impact to our business and the service we provide to our clients.
We take the evolving situation in relation to Coronavirus/Covid-19 extremely seriously. We have a robust business continuity plan in place and our senior management team is meeting regularly to ensure that we are taking account of all developments and maintaining a seamless service to our clients. Our people are able to support and deliver our services remotely, and are working from home.
Our offices are now closed until further notice, with our Tunbridge Wells office accepting deliveries of documents and supplies where needed to support essential legal work.
We receive most of our communications electronically and recommend that you use email to communicate with us and that you scan in any documentation that you need to share with us and attach this to an email. If you believe you have sent something to us in the post and we have not responded to it, please speak to your usual contact.
In order to reduce the risks associated with the virus transmission we are adhering to all protocols and the ongoing advice from the government and PHE. No client meetings will be held at our offices until further notice. Meetings can be arranged by telephone, as conference or videoconference calls unless a physical meeting is absolutely essential for legal reasons. We are able to implement effective social distancing to enable physical signature witnessing (for example on Wills).
Travel, events and alternatives
In common with most other businesses, we have a firm-wide policy banning all non-essential travel until further notice. We have postponed all client events until later in the year, and our own people are not attending external events.
We will be running webinars and hosting forums digitally to continue to provide the support our clients and communities will need through this difficult period.
Visitors and deliveries to our offices
We do ask that you do not visit our offices until further notice. Any deliveries need to be pre-arranged only and will need to be made under ‘no contact’ protocols.
We recognise that these unprecedented times are impacting everyone both professionally and personally. We continue to closely monitor the situation and will keep you informed of any changes to our approach by updating this page.
