by: Cripps Pemberton Greenish

In this webinar our panel of employment law experts discuss:

  1. Top tips for dealing with complex grievances: We consider when it may be appropriate to deal with a grievance formally and informally, the benefits of an independent investigation, the advantages of having separate policies for dealing with complaints of harassment and public interest disclosures, possible overlaps with disciplinary processes and the importance of confidentiality.
  2. Changes to the taxation of off-payroll workers: We discuss which businesses are likely to be impacted and recommend some action points to ensure that you are prepared.
  3. What’s on the employment law horizon for 2020 and beyond: We will look ahead to planned legislative changes including the imminent changes to the requirement to provide a written statement of terms, changes to the reference period for calculating holiday pay, the right to take parental bereavement leave, the extension of redundancy protection for women and new parents plus proposals to extend SSP eligibility, measures to support phased returns to work and the potential implication of a new statutory duty to protect workers from harassment.
