Will Dispute News – One third of millionaires involved in inheritance disputes

The Daily Telegraph has published an article considering the results of research undertaken by Coutts bank.

Coutts spoke to 270 people with liquid assets of more than £1 million. 37% of these people reported there being serious arguments with the family over the division of family money.

This research highlights the importance of making a Will early on and keeping it up to date. In my experience, out of date Wills and the intestacy rules can often creates inequality and prejudice, which then requires legal advice to resolve.
